I'm Dave Greene the owner and operator of Dave's Sweet Treats. An online business delivering high quality baked goods to your door. We specialize in creating a variety of treats that will meet the needs of our patrons from our exquisite cheesecakes in traditional and innovative flavors to our cookies based on recipes forged through decades of family generations. No matter what you choose it is our goal to deliver a tasty treat you will enjoy.
My Story
Where do I start? That's the question most people would ask when writing their biography, but I won't bore you since I'm aging gracefully in my mid 50s. :). As you figured out by now, I'm a baker, but also a devoted Dad, fly fisherman, veteran, and a caretaker at heart. I've always had a passion for baking, and dabbled on the side making treats for family, friends, and colleagues, but haven't worn the apron and hat full time until this past year.
I recently left my career in healthcare after 30 plus years. I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of roles I held starting with my initiation into medicine as a Navy Corpsman with a Marine Infantry unit for close to a decade, then briefly transitioned to selling drugs for a short time (pharmaceutical sales LOL), and finally spent the remainder of my career in a role I loved serving others as a nurse and leader in the geriatric and long term care world. So why leave a career you love?
Life happens for each of us and brings both mountain tops and valleys. I had the privilege of being married to an amazing woman for 16 years of my life that was both gracious and tough as nails. Sadly, during our marriage she endured a great deal of medical challenges which finally culminated in her unexpected loss to Covid 19 during the 2021 pandemic. That year I also lost my other best friend and fishing buddy (my dad) to Alzheimer's. I would be lying if I said bouncing back was easy with having a young child and trying to manage my own grief, but God sustained me and has helped me heal. I learned life is much shorter than we ever think and decided to follow my passion to Create Confection Perfection for the people in the community I love.
Of course, perfection can't be achieved. So, I strive to create desserts that you will enjoy while delivering something you can be proud to serve to your friends. I love that I can continue to serve people and connect in a new way with something I made. I truly feel blessed to be baking my way into old age.
